Renewable World Education Center at Mecan River

The Renewable World Education Center at Mecan River is the home of the Renewable World Foundation. The center features a multi-purpose building with full-service kitchen, 12 rustic lodging cabins, and a director's lodge. Direct access to the Mecan River provides opportunities for students to study Marquette County's rich environment and develop conservation strategies to maintain its natural resources for the future. 

Renewable World provides educational programs that use conservation philosophies to tie together energy and the environment. Students learn about all the types, forms and sources of energy that play a role in their daily lives as well as how renewable energy will be an intregal part of their future as consumers and decision makers.
